Hi everybody !! My name's Claire and I come from France :)

I'm 23 years old and I'm studing nutrition and health in an engineering program near Paris😊
I'm curently taking a gap year in my studies to do what I love and think about what's next.
During this gap year, I'd like to do some voluntary work to gain new experience in areas that have always attracted me and to meet new people especially locals.

I really love traveling around the world during my holidays. I started to travel alone at 20 yo and I really love that to meet people and find out more about me.
I'm a person who loves sports and to be active who gets bored easily.
I am open-minded and rather positive in everyday life. I just need to be well surrounded and in contact with nature to be happy. 🍃🌊

I'm currently in Australia (since the september 2023) and one of my deepest dreams in this country is to have an authentic experience as a "cowgirl" on the countryside and round up cattle on horseback. I would like to try mustering and droving. I would love to observe the incredible australian marine wildlife :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have created my account in order to meet new people sharing our experiences.
It's a great way to meet locals which I find so cool and I find it enriching when you travel.
I don't want to be a simple tourist who does all the tourist places without knowing their stories.

I think following local advice is the best thing when traveling. I would love to learn more about your contry, your specialities, yours tips ;)
Having this application is also a great way for me to share French culture, its culinary traditions, to teach you a few French words and to exchange on our travel experiences :)

I love travel alone or with friends but I prefer alone because it's easier to meet new people and discover other cultures !

Also I really love photography especially of landscapes and to make portraits of the people I meet.
I find its really nice to keep memories of all ly experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most extraordinary things I did was to do road trips in Iceland😍
It was my first solo travel and I loved it !!
This country was so beautiful!! in one day you can see an erupting volcano, spend time in a hotspring, observe a polar fox and finish the day in style by watching the northern lights.
